restaurant review #591 – This place is at DOK NOORD, a former industrial site which now houses appartments, restaurants, bars, sport clubs etc in Ghent.
This is from a visit a while back, somehow I kept forgetting to post this review!

They offer salads (bowls) and sandwiches.
The menu on the large board labels vegetarian options, but none are standardly vegan. Pls standardly offer + label vegan options!

It wasn’t clear to me whether I could also compose my own salad or wrap, so just went with a signature salad ‘green goddess’. They said the non-vegan sauce would be switched with hummus. 15,50€
Paid at counter. Order brought to table. That took more than 20 minutes, although there were only a handful of tables (lots of people came in for take away though).
And the salad first came with the non-vegan sauce …
A bit later followed by one without sauce and hummus on the side.

Nice salad. Generous portion. I couldn’t finish it. I would love some seitan or tofu or such to give it more ‘bite’.

Very friendly. Spacious. Enjoyable atmosphere (however lots of plastic ‘greens’). Comfy seatings. Entrance accessible. Saw two toilets at the back, didnt see an accessible toilet. Clean.

Must try it next time we are in Gent (May).
There’s a new vegan restaurant in Ghent: YUSU. A little bit outside of the city center, but really nice 🙂
I already posted the review on my IG, still need to post here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DWYs1m2jRWr/?img_index=1
Soul Kitchen is also really nice.
Knol and Kool (more lunch type of place, also vegan shop).
And definitely try some cinnamon rolls by Have a Roll and pastry by Catberry!
