restaurant review 327 – Hawaiian Poké Bowl is a chain of restaurants with about a dozen locations in Belgium. I have been to their restaurant in Leuven and in Ghent several times and and have also visited the Hawaiian Poké Bowl in Kortrijk several times now in the past couple of months.
restaurant review #316 – Ohana Poké bowls opened last year in the city center of Bruges, near the Stadsschouwburg. Meanwhile, it has been renamed ‘Moana Pokebowls’. And they now also have a location in Blankenberge! We have visited the restaurant in Bruges twice in 2021. So this review is already from a couple of months ago.
restaurant review #313 – Hey people, I am way behind on my restaurant reviews, life has been hectic the last couple of months :-). But I have a bunch of reviews coming up! Lots of yummie food and nice dining out experiences 🙂
restaurant review #288 – Hawaiian Poké Bowl is a chain of restaurants with about a dozen locations throughout Belgium. This is from a visit to Hawaiian Poké Bowl in Leuven a couple of weeks ago. At that time (and now still), restaurants were only allowed to offer take away.
restaurant review #273 – Fitchen is a chain of restaurants with locations in Ghent, Antwerp and since the Summer of 2020 also one in Bruges. It is located in the Zilversteeg (an alley leading to the shopping center Zilverpand), near ‘t Zand. You can also choose to take your lunch with, as they offer take-away.
restaurant review #269 – This review is from a restaurant visit to Ohana Pokébowls in the beginning of 2020, just before the lockdown measures due to the COVID19 pandemic started. Ohana Pokébowls is a new place in the city center (Groentenmarkt). We were here for lunch on a Thursday (market day). We wanted to go in at 11.30, but were told it was still closed (a bit strange on a market day, when there are so many visitors for the market around).
restaurant review #265 – This review is from a restaurant visit to vegetarian Ooogst a couple of months ago at the beginning of 2020, just before the lockdown measures due to the COVID19 pandemic started. On August 17, just two days ago, the restaurant announced its closure, due to the consequences of the lockdown on the business. I’m posting this review anyway, not only for archival reasons for myself, but as a nice memory from a visit to a lovely place. Ooogst was situated at the edge of Kortrijk, in a renovated industrial hangar. It opened in June 2019. It was a spacious place, mixed with rooms for people to come work there, or have a work meeting.
restaurant review 245 – Urban salad is a take away place (also some seatings) in the Bijlmer area in Amsterdam. It is part of a chain with a handful locations throughout the Netherlands. It is very close to the music venues (Ziggo Dome, Arena, etc).
restaurant review #238 – Jardin is a cosy little place in the center of Goes (Zeeland, NL), just near the market. It opened in the Spring of 2019. There are three vegan options: the sandwich with hummus, a vegan salad, and a vegan bowl. We took the sandwich and the bowl. The hummus is homemade, and was very nice. The bowl came with white sticky rice, and vegetables / sprouts (and some avocado too).
