#611 Take-away lunch in the park, Wild Foodz by Hotel Entree

restaurant review #611 – Take away lunch in the park! This is from two visits to Wild Foodz in the last year.

Wild Foodz has a new location and new owners. It was previously in Rijselstraat, now at Speelmansrei (5 min north of ‘t Zand). It’s a take-away shop serving salads, wraps, bowls, …

On the first visit we had a falafel bowl 13€ and two wraps (one with falafel 10,50€, one with hummus 10€). Raspberry drink 4.20€.
A nice lunch.

At that visit the vegan options were not clearly labelled on the menu. A pity, it would make it so much more handy, not having to ask whether the sauce and wrap are vegan (confirmed: sriracha mayo is vegan and the wraps themselves are vegan).

After posting our impressions on facebook, the owner let me know that they would make it more clear! And indeed, we noticed the vegan labels on the menu, during our second visit in August 2026.

On our second visit we had a ‘make your own bowl’ (you always need to take a large one for this, pity, I can only manage a small), and a guacamole wrap with falafel. Large bowl 16€ + 1,20 seaweed + 2€ avocado (which makes it quite expensive) + Wrap with falafel and guac: 10,50€.

Nice food, fresh and lots of greens. Not a fan of the falafels though, they have a very ‘meaty’ and moist texture. The wraps are very loaded, and not so easy to eat as take away on a bench in the park 😉

Service was friendly. On each visit we had our lunch at the nearby Sebrechtspark where it’s calm and there are plenty of benches.

Entrance not accessible: steps to get in. There’s no toilet on site (it’s take away only). But as they are now part of the ‘Hotel Entree’, I thought I could at least use the toilet of the hotel! But the hotel entrance is LOCKED and entry only possible with a digital code … #grmbl
Note: after posting impressions from our first visit on socials previously, the owner let me know we could always use the hotel bathroom facilities. Very kind, thanks!
