restaurant review #493 – This is a vegetarian Indian restaurant with vegan options, in the heart of the city.

Second visit to this place (see first REVIEW here). Had made no reservation, and on this weekday evening there were still plenty tables free. There are also 3 small outdoor tables.
Vegan mains are seperate on menu (two pages), but the starters are not, so not really clear at first sight which ones are vegan (there is an indication of lactose free, which is rather strange … ).
Had the mattar mushroom and tofu jalfreezi both 16,50€, rice included, with peswari naan 6€. Which are decent prices, being in the heart of the city.

Enjoyed the food. Spicy. We had a nice dinner.

Friendly service. But no Dutch spoken (English).
Not accessible, step to get in. One toilet at the back. Toilet was dirty 😒, that really didn’t give a good impression. Hygiene?

PS: As I am a Happy Cow ambassador, I gave them a Happy Cow window sticker. The waitress had no idea what Happy Cow was 😮. Hope they put it up!
