restaurant review #587 – Tibetan restaurant with vegan options! This restaurant is in the city center, just a 10-15 min walk from the main square.

We inquired with the waiter for vegan options and he was knowledgeable and gave us some suggestions. Vegan options / allergenes are also clearly labelled, so that’s handy.
There are some options for starters (momos, samosas, ..) and several vegan main dishes with tofu!

We had the dumplings (8€) and momos (7€) as starters, and chili tofu (20€) and che zi (flat noodles, 16€) as mains. The crackers with drinks were said to be vegan!

Starters first came with a yoghurt sauce, but waiter immediately went to the kitchen to replace it with tamarind sauce.

I suspect the starters were homemade, not like in many other restaurants where they just serve storebought samosas or noodles. Nice food, we really enjoyed it. The noodles soup could have done with some more spicing. Loved the bread roll!

Unfortunately no vegan dessert available.
Coffee came with cow milk on the side, classic …

Very friendly service.
Small place. Decorated in traditional style.
Very small step at entrance. Toilets at the back. Bit worn down, but clean. Didn’t see an acessible toilet.

It can be busy! So book ahead.
Several people also came in for take away.
