restaurant review #559 – Frituur with vegan options!
Had a nice ‘fast food dinner’ before going to a show at nearby de Roma – Paul Carrack!
Vegan snacks are clearly labelled and fries are baked in plantbased oil (unfortunately still a rarity in Belgium).
Fries were nice, crispy. Medium – which was a huge portion (small next time 😉).
Vol au vent croquette, stoofvlees (a traditional Flemish dish with a beer based sauce) and fries with veganaise.
With drinks totalled 22.50€.
Hardly any indoor seating, a handful of tables /chairs outside.
Very friendly!

I wish I had found you before I went to Bruges. I had a difficult time finding food
Although the muesli at JUST TOAST was pretty superb. One restaurant kindly cooked a spaghetti with veg and it was tasty if lacking a little in veg content.
I tried the IRISH CURRY! hmm well that sorted my bowel movements at least.
Sorry I dont’ remember all of the names of places, but I’m back home and looking for work and busy, but an Indian restaurant that said vegan options inside the menu was a little off with us and said we both had to have the same dish if we want vegan , I wasn’t sure what all that was about but we didn’t go back. the food was ok. I live in London in the UK and we have some good places and a fair amount to choose from, but still needs more. Mildreds plant based restaurant is a great place to eat if you are ever here.
Hey, thanks for leaving a comment. Sorry you struggled to find decent vegan options in Bruges. Things have gotten better over the years, but we aren’t quite there yet 😉
I love going to London and trying all the great places. Mildreds is one of our favourites, we were at the one in Victoria last year. Loved it 🙂
