restaurant review #444 – Wagamama is an international restaurant chain with two locations in Belgium: Brussels and Antwerp. This is from a visit to the one in Brussels, in the heart of the city, not far from the concert hall Ancienne Belgique.

We went here for dinner before going to a show of Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark – OMD, which was awesome (see video and more videos on my YouTube).

Vegan options are clearly labelled with a star.
But when we tried to digitally order, the Yasay Yaki Soba could not be ordered without egg, so the waiter took our order.
Didn’t have to wait long for food, friendly service too.
We had
- edamame with salt (7,50€)
- vegan ribs (7,95€)
- kare burosu ramen (17,95€)
- yasai yaki soba vegan (without the egg) (16,95).
Fruit juice was 6,50€ and small water 3,50€.

Food was very nice. Large enough portions. Only the edamame beans were a bit watery. Loved the mushroom and soy protein ‘ribs’. The main dishes were very nice too.
All in all, given the setting and location, reasonably priced!

Chairs: most of the seatings are simple stools, without backrest (ouch!), but we were lucky to have one the few tables with real chairs.

Entrance is stepfree. There’s a downstairs and upstairs area.
Toilets are upstairs, clean. Didn’t see an accessible toilet downstairs, nor an elevator. That’s a pity, bc it seems like a newly renovated place, and there was def room enough.

Looks delish! I’m intrigued by the vegan ribs!
