restaurant review #430 – Loy Vegan is a vegan restaurant with Asian style cuisine in the city center of Trier in Germany. We were here for lunch a couple of months ago. We were early, at noon, and were the only patrons. By the time we left some other tables were occupied. Had a coconut soup (7€), fried dumplings with tofu and morels (6,9€), fried tofu with peanut sauce and coconut milk (16,9€), and noodles with tofu and seitan (16,9€). Big portions, I couldn’t finish my dish. Although the menu is quite extensive, a lot of the dishes seem to be variations of the same base, using tofu and/or seitan. Would have loved to get some vegan shrimp for example. The dishes and menu – although many pages – felt somewhat uninspired, it could be so much more creative! Ok service, but very reserved. Only the necessary communication. Eighties/nineties music, which we liked 😃Nice interior, comfy. Very large outdoor seating space. Inside accessible, but toilets are downstairs. Clean. restaurant review #391 – An all vegan bowl place!! 🙌💚💚 There are two Funky Bowls in Düsseldorf, this is from a visit to the one in the north side of town. The one near the haven, close to our hotel, was unfortunately closed in the weekend. Next to those two, there is also a Funky Bowl in Berlin, and one in Essen.
