#590 Nice ricetable, Bistrobar Indonesia, Haarlem (NL)
restaurant review #590 – Do you like Indonesian cuisine? I certainly do! Whenever we are in the Netherlands, we try to visit an Indonesian restaurant for a ricetable.

restaurant review #481 – Whenever we are in the Netherlands, we always try to visit an Indonesian restaurant. 😊There’s always vegan options available and the cuisine is delicious! In this restaurant, there’s a vegetarian ricetable and rice dish on the menu.I had specified we wanted a vegan ricetable when making the reservation online, a couple of days before. Service was rather reserved. When we were seated at our table, we noticed kroupouk on the table, and when ordering (and repeating we wanted a vegan rice table), the waiter said the kroupouk & sauce was not vegan and he would bring a replacement (we normally get emping or cassave crackers at Indonesian restos). The replacement however never came … The ricetable came swiftly. No heaters on the table to keep the food warm (as is usually the case in Indonesian restaurants).Food was nice, but not extraordinary, and at 29,75€ pp very steep!! Nicely decorated place, loved the cat statues. Not accessible: very steep ridge when entering, no accessible toilet. Paper towels at toilets to dry ones hands.Large …
restaurant review #452 – This was awesome!! 🤩👏🏼 We love Indonesian food 💚, and whenever we are in the Netherlands, we try to go to an Indonesian restaurant for a ricetable.
restaurant review 392 – Indonesian food at De Vegetarische Toko in The Hague! Everything is vegan except for the Spekkoek (vegetarian) – (why not make it vegan? – I forgot to ask!).
restaurant review #386 – Whenever we are in the Netherlands, we always try to go to an Indonesian restaurant to have a vegan ricetable. That’s a selection of several small dishes., and some sides like atjar and peanut crumble.
restaurant review #376 – Vegan in Delft in the Netherlands! One of our favourite cuisines … Indonesian! When we driving back home from a small trip to the north of the Netherlands, around New Year (2022-2023) we passed by Delft and went to De Parel van Flores, an Indonesian restaurant.
restaurant review #339 – Kapulága is an Indonesian restaurant in the city center of Maastricht, on the East side of the river Maas (in the south of the Netherlands). We had already visited Kapulaga in 2018 (see REVIEW) and really liked it!
restaurant review #279 – Bandung is an Indonesian restaurant at the edge of Den Bosch (or with a more fancy name ‘s Hertogenbosch) in the Netherlands. There are hardly any Indonesian restaurants in Belgium, but there are plenty in the Netherlands. So whenever we are in the Netherlands, we like to go to an Indonesian restaurant as they always have vegan options and we simply love the food. Note: it is always advised to inquire at Indonesian restaurants about the use of trassi (shrim paste) in vegetarian/vegan dishes. This review is from a visit to Bandung last Winter, before the measures due to the COVID19 pandemic started. I had made a reservation online for a Friday evening, and that was definitely a must as the place was full. It was very busy. We were early, but that was no problem, and were seated near the bar.
restaurant review #267 – This review is from a visit to Bali James in 2019 (before the lockdown and COVID19measures). Although it’s from a long time ago, I still like to post it for archival reasons for myself, as I like to have the photos and impressions on my blog! Bali James is an Indonesian restaurant (well the name does give it away!) in Breda, the Netherlands. Breda is just across the border from Belgium, not so far from Antwerp. The restaurant is just outside, but within walking distance from the city center. There are plenty of Indonesian restaurants in The Netherlands (given the historical link with the country), but unfortunately they are a rarity in Belgium. So whenever we are in the Netherlands, we try to go to an Indonesian restaurant, because they always have vegan dishes availble, and we love the cuisine!
restaurant review 247 – Warung Adinda – the name kind of gives it away 😉 – is an Indonesian restaurant in the city center of Hilversum in the Netherlands. There are plenty of Indonesian restaurants in The Netherlands (given the historical link with the country), but unfortunately they are a rarity in Belgium. So whenever we are in the Netherlands, we try to go to an Indonesian restaurant. This is from a visit a couple of weeks ago, when we spent a couple of days in the Netherlands on holiday.
