restaurant review #567 – This is a typical local restaurant in Catalunia / Spain, in the Pyrenees (just south of Andorra). Vegan options are very rare in this – beautiful – region!

We dont speak Catalan/Spanish, and staff didn’t seem to speak English. So showed them a translated message on my phone, stating that we are vegan, and what we do and don’t eat.
Waitress immediately nodded in comprehension and asked me to come look at the big board with the menu options and pointed at the vegan options. That was a relief!

We had a menu 17€
- a green salad
- a chickpea salad
- a vegan escalope
- a vegan burger
- coconut and chocolate sorbet.

After ordering she even came to ask me to make sure I was OK with the fact that the burger had a meat like texture/taste, but again reassuring it was, si, vegano!

Not a culinairy excursion, but very good value for money (17€!!!) in a region with hardly any vegan options.
(For comparison: in Bruges, BE you can hardly find a main dish for under 17€…).

Interior is a typical local restaurant, clean. Toilets clean and on ground flour.

We glad we found this place for lunch!

Thank you for this review! My family hasn’t been to Andorra yet. Now we’ll have to check it out and dine here!
This was a really nice traditional lunch! Not touristy at all, among the locals 😉
So even more amazing that they have vegan options!
Thanks for your comment 🙂
