restaurant review #513 – A quick sandwich lunch in a quiet Danish coastal town. The outdoor sign mentions 4 vegan sandwiches, the menu on the indoor TV mentions 3. It’s a rarity in this region to find vegan labelled dishes!

We had the veg shawarma (81kr) – I asked with vegan mayo instead of vegan creme fraiche, no problem – and the southern soul vegan (85kr). And fries on the side (35kr).

The sandwiches are HUGE. Like a baguette of 30-35 cm cut in half. Way too much for me, I could only eat half of it.
Drinks are very limited: no lemonade, no sparkling water, no rhubarb or anything. Flat water (which seemed to be bottled tap water?), coke and some energy drinks.

Vegan options are really limited in Denmark/Fredericia, so we were happy with this place with clearly labelled vegan options, although the sandwiches in itself were not really special and it was overall rather greasy (very salted fries).

Friendly. Two small outdoor tables on pavement. Limited seating inside (upstairs). Toilet upstairs.
Not accessible.
