restaurant review #497 – One of the pioneers in Ghent/Belgium !
I already visited this restaurant in the ’90’s when it was one of the only veg places in Gent (then vegetarian, now vegan).

Have also been to the locations in Antwerp, Leuven & Bxl-Midi (unfortunately closed now). Always great food, and resonably priced.
So was very happy to accidentally meet founder Paul Florizoone during this visit. Great coincidence. And I gave a Happy Cow window sticker which he immediately put up!

➡️ Order at the counter. Food is brought to your table.

We had the potato wedges (5,95€) and the gourmet burger (13,95€) and the wedges with stew (stoverij) 13,90€.
Lovely food. Very decent portions and very reasonably priced!

Seatings are a combination of wooden chairs, some benches with cushions and high bar stools at the front windows.
Entrance not accessible. Step to get in. Two toilets at the back. Clean. Paper towels to dry ones hands. No accessible toilet.

Had a lovely lunch!

Wonderful! I went to Greenway when they were in Leuven a few years ago, and it was really lovely. Such great food.
Oh, I had no idea you had visited Belgium! The Greenway restaurant in Leuven was great. Such a pity it’s closed … :-/
Yes, I loved it! I chose Leuven because it had three vegan friendly restaurants! If I go back to Belgium in the future I can use your website as a guide to the best places to eat! 😀
It is a shame they closed, I agree. I didn’t realise until I looked them up yesterday. I had a wortel burger, which was delicious. 🙂
