restaurant review #394 – In the last couple of months, we visited the Vegan Junkfood Bar in Eindhoven(*see update below) twice. The restaurant is part of chain with a couple of restaurants in the Netherlands, and now also a restaurant in Cologne, Germany and two in Barcelona, Spain.
I don’t mind some junkfood now and then … 😃 Although it’s not really my favourite type of food.
The menu at VJFB is very extensive and it was difficult to choose! So many options 👍
Had the flamboyant shrimps (9,50€), kapsalon (12,95€), and the iconic rainbow (13,95€). And a portion of mayo (1€).
Nice food. Very reasonably priced. Can’t remember the dishes on our second visit.
A bit of a wait though (although resto not full). And the food was not really hot (warm), but just enough to eat.
Very friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. I had reservations coming here, as we had visited the VJFB in Amsterdam some time ago and the music was really – annoyingly – LOUD there. Luckily, here it was ok. 👍
Large outdoor seating too.
Accessibility: one small step to get in. Toilets are downstairs, didn’t see an accessible toilet.
Did not like the wet towel to dry one’s hand. … Can you please provide paper towels, or individual smaller towels VJFB? #hygiene
In July 2023 we had another lunch here. Relaxed on the terrace. There was nobody else. Lock of the toilet doors is not working, and still a wet towel to ‘dry’ ones hands . Eek.
➡️➡️ All in all: great fastfood, relaxed lunch, but I wish they would pay more attention to accessibility / toilet facilities (on none of their locations that I visited the toilet is accessible, and mostly not even on ground floor ).
