restaurant review #353 – A couple of months ago we visited new vegan restaurant Soul Kitchen in Gent. It is located at the edge of the city center, near St Anna square.

🍴🍴 The dishes are a ‘sharing menu’ and we were advised to take about two dishes per person. Which was perfect for us!

We got a small pumpkin soup as a mini starter.
And then the beet cream as an appetizer (8,5€). Nice thinly sliced bread (from the bakery across the street @broodstokerij, where you can also get vegan Danish!).

And then we had these – 12€ each
– cauliflower power
– little gems
– carrot pizza
– lentils and tomato

For desserts two options, we had one of each (9€) raspberry cheesecake and Oh my applepie!

Really loved it!! 💚💚 Delicious food, nicely presented and very friendly and timely service. Also very nice that they have a selection of mocktails.

➡️➡️ One point of improvement to make it more cosy: close the door to the kitchen pls. There was a lot of noise coming from the kichen, and a closed door would give it a more ‘dining’ experience. Some wall decorations would also be nice.

Accessibility: restaurant room is accessible (small ramp). Didnt see an accessible toilet (and the toilet is very small – but spotlessly clean , and love the individual towels to dry one’s hands).

Gave them a Happy Cow sticker. Hope they put it on the window! 🤗 

So happy with this new addition in Ghent! Finally a vegan restaurant that goes beyond the burgers and sweet potato fries, bowls or wraps (which can be delicious, but some variation would be nice 😉).

All in all: Vegan fine dining. Loved it! Great value for money!
