restaurant review #477 – Large place, in city center, with vegan options clearly labelled. There are several places in Breda, but not that many open for lunch, on a Monday! Had the Food came swiftly and was good! Way too much, we over ordered (sometimes a bit confused by the lunch options in the NL, one serving seems too little, two – too much!) 😄 but we managed to finish it all, except for the bread that came with the croquettes (took it with us). Very spacious outdoor seating.Not accessible, steps to get in. Old building.Toilet upstairs. There was nothing to dry one’s hands after washing. restaurant review #473 – We went here for dinner during our holiday in Germany/ Denmark. We actually wanted to have dinner at Deichkind, which reportedly has good vegan options, but unfortunately it was fully booked. Not that many other options in town, so ended up here. Nice modern building, very open, spacious, very hipster feel. The restaurant room (part of hotel) more has a feeling of an upgraded cantine though. When inquiring at the entrance, the waiter said they have many vegan options! 😊That sounded good. But there were only 2 starters (salad and vegetable dish) and two mains (falafel and artichoc). 😔 Inquired about the vegetable starter (wanted to know if I could get it as a main) but was not on offer (??). I wanted to order a mocktail. 🍸But couldn’t have one, because that had to be asked at the bar, on the other side of the building, replied the waiter. Uuhm??? 🤔(When we left, saw the people at another table being served 2 cockails, so ???). So we both ordered the …

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to add snapshots of the surroundings to blogposts. So whenever I publish a post with a review of a shop or restaurant, there are now not only photos of the restaurant, but also one or two photos, or even a short video, of the area. A city view, a particular monument, or a spectacular landscape. It gives you an idea of the surroundings (albeit just a glimp), and some of the things we have spotted during our visit to that city or area.
