restaurant review #584 – This was one of the only restaurants in this absolutely beautiful area, with clearly labelled vegan options!!

We ended up here twice, once for lunch, once for dinner, during our holiday at the beginning of Summer. On both occasions we sat outside.

Lunch –

• degustacio de 5 torradetes 12€ (shared)
• hamburger 14€
• pizza vermuteria 14€
• coffee and coulant de xocolate

Dinner –

• aracini 7€
• patatas bravas 6€
• Pasta pesto 12€
• pizza vermuteria 14€

Service was very friendly, and we didn’t have to wait long.

Kudos to them for offering clearly labelled vegan options, a rarity in this region. But it was culinary not so exciting…

The 1st time we had the pizza, it only contained a few pieces of vegetables. So we thought it was just the low offer of vegetables of the kitchen of that day.

But the 2nd time it didn’t have any vegetables at all!
I realise it says ‘amb producte temporade’ on the menu, but this was just like eating a melted bloc of violife (?) cheese … So heavy. I just couldn’t finish it.

The pesto was also rather monotone: pasta, sauce (which was rather bland) and some walnuts and shredded vegan cheese.

Arancinis, patatas and torradetes were nice.
The coulant de xocolate (dessert) was very nice!

Would love to see more options with vegetables on the menu (note: more than one leaf of lettuce or tomato slice with the burger!).
