restaurant review #573 – Finding decent vegan options in this region can be a challenge. It wasn’t always easy during our holiday earlier this Summer!
We were VERY happy with this poke place, and had take-away lunch twice!
Finally some decent food!
They have ‘heura’ pieces, which are a sort of faux chik’n pieces and said to be vegan.
Had a medium (self composed) and large ‘veggie’ bowl, very decent size!
We had our lunch on a bench further south, near a small parc. The second time we enjoyed it at the beach.
Fresh, varied and tasty.
Would love it if they increase their vegan offer (eg seitan, tofu, tempeh …).
PS: no toilet available on site, and public toilets along the beach were closed! Luckily there was one bar opening it’s toilet for everyone …

Dear Trudi, i’m in New York, where one would think there would be an abundance of vegan, non-animal, compassionate food choices… if not an oasis of cruelty-free foods, at least not something one would have to actively search out. We have one 100% vegan restaurant, in nearby Woodstock, and all the other local Woodstock ‘hippie’ type eateries, you would think would be vegan..??!! or at least have more than one very sad dull offering. Thank you for all you bring to us on your wonderful blog; it helps me to not despair!!!

Oh, so sorry to hear. I would have imagined you have tons of vegan options there. I was in NYC (Manhatten) twice (already long ago, but there was an abundance of vegan food options there, even then! But of course that’s NYC!
