restaurant review #517 – We had visited the Fashion and Textile museum (awesome exhibition Fashion renegades of 80’s London!! – see video below) and ended up in nearby Borough Market. Mallow is a sister restaurant of the well-known Mildreds restaurants (see Reviews here).

Luckily, there were still plenty of tables left for lunch! We sat in the upstairs room.
Had the taste menu of £38 pp, which consisted of several smaller dishes, entrees and mains. More than enough! We were stuffed!

Courses followed swiftly.

Only minus was the ‘charcoal toast’, which was … very hard, like charcoal … 😉 And the ‘dessert’ was only 2 tiny pieces of chocolate.
It wasn’t really warm in the room and there was a lot of noise from nearby building construction works, but they can’t help that.

Friendly service. An ‘optional’ service charge of 12,5% is automatically added to the bill (which seems a common practice in London nowadays …)
Toilets are upstairs. Very clean. Love the tiles!! Didn’t see an accessible toilet.

We really enjoyed our lunch!! And even bought the Mildreds vegan cookbook 🙂
