restaurant review #484 – I’ve been to several Hawaiian poke bowl restaurants (Oostende, Bruges, Gent, Kortrijk, Leuven and also in Tilburg) and mostly it’s very good!
They have vegan bowls available, and you can customize your bowl (tofu or falafel available). Fresh food, varied, and vegan options. I love it 😊
Unfortunately here in Brussels, we had a not so good experience. ☹️
● There’s only one screen to order, so that took some time before it was free. We ordered, entered our number and paid, but no paper ticket available ( printer didnt work). (I checked later, it was billed on my account!).
● We waited. After half an hour, still no food, although not that busy. So went to check at counter.
Staff didnt find our order among the piled up paper orders coming out the till …
Made our bowls on the spot – and gave two drinks as extra.
● The piece of avocado was bad and inedible (hard). The big bowl was not nearly as filled as we are used too.
● The place smelled stale, dirty.
● No toilet available (not working? Or just never?). Restaurants are legally obliged to provide a toilet for custommers I think. So how do staff do this?
Not nice. ☹️☹️
