restaurant review #470 – Hurray for poké bowl places*!
This one is in the ‘Vlaamse Ardennen’, a region where there are still not many restaurants offering vegan options.
There’s a signature veggie bowl on the menu, but it contains mayo.
So we each composed or own bowl, a small one and a large one (this one with extra tofu).
And two drinks. Total 38,7€.
Ordered through one of the touchscreens. No info about allergenes on the touchscreens, so not really clear which sauces are vegan. Staff at counter do have an allegenes list. Took the sesame soy sauce.
We had the bowls as take away and went outside of the city on our bikes and had lunch at a picnic table on top of ‘Petegem berg’.
Large portions (although lots of rice). Nice fresh food.
Very friendly. 💚
Not accessible: the front space is stepfree (where the touchscreens are + some high barstools and chairs).
Several steps to reach the counter. Toilets at the back, difficult spiraling stairs going to the cellar. Toilets were clean, but the cellar a bit shabby.
Outdoor seating in front.
*would be even better if they went vegan all the way of course 😉
