#457 Nice Asian cuisine, good vegan options, Bowls, Kortrijk

restaurant review #457 – I had already visited the Bowls restaurant in Bruges, and liked it (see REVIEW #446)! Made a last minute reservation for Kortrijk.

When making the reservation, I was told the menu in Kortrijk is a little bit different than the one in Bruges, but vegan was no problem.
Was told all dishes could be adapted to be made vegan, by using tofu instead of meat.

Had the samosas (labelled as vegan, 9,5€) and tofu bibimbap (22€) and spicy sichuan tofu (22€).
Nice food. All freshly prepared in open kitchen. The sichuan was not really spicy this time (in Bruges it was hot hot hot 😛).

Only vegan dessert was a sorbet, so declined.

PS: the other patrons got kroupouk as an appetizer, we didn’t get anything (in Bruges we got cassave crackers, that was nice 😉)

Very friendly and swift service. Nice place. Spacious, relaxed.
Loved the wallpaper in the toilets 🤩

Entrance not accessible, although there were construction works on tbe road, so maybe otherwise the entrance is stepfree? One toilet is very large (accessible) but no bars. Toilets very clean.
