restaurant review #343 – Chandigarh is a new vegetarian restaurant in Brussels, in the city center, near the Cirque Royal (concert venue). We were here for dinner last Summer just before going to a show at the next door Cirque Royal. We went to see Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, a tour with the drummer of Pink Floyd, playing early Pink Floyd songs (see a clip below and more on my You Tube). And it was awesome!
So happy that there is now a restaurant with vegan options in the area!

We didn’t make a reservation, and were very glad that there was still a table free for us (it is advised to make a reservation – nearly all tables were booked for the evening).
Spacious place, nice interior, all new. Hard wooden chairs though (some cushions would be nice).
Upstairs is a smaller area with cushions to sit on the floor.

We were given a menu, but only to choose some appetizers, as on that evening there was only one main dish on offer: a selection of different small dishes (28euro). For appetizers we had the masala Papad and the Pokoda (both 4€). It was no problem to have everything vegan.

Nice food. Not really spicy (hot).
Friendly service too.

Toilets are upstairs. Did not see an accessible toilet. Ground flour is with large step to get in.
All in all: we had a very lovely dinner! Would love to visit again!
Pros: vegan options near Cirque Royal!, great food
Cons: rather expensive (but that’s Brussels …), not accessible
