restaurant review #509 – A lifesaver in a town where there were very few vegan options (and the others were only open for lunch). Although the name doesn’t really sound inviting (Kylling is Danish for ‘chicken’, I think)…

This is mainly a take away place. Choose the size of your bowl, and then you get a plastic container and can fill it at the saladbar. Lots of raw vegs to choose from: lettuce, corn, edamame, red beets, … also some quinoa. And some nuts and dried fruits also. Ketchup seems to be the only vegan sauce, but I didn’t really inquire further about the allergenes of other sauces.
Falafel as a protein option.

Staff very mixed: one younger lad was very frienfly, another lady was seemingly very annoyed, rushed, unfriendly.

So all in all this was a nice discovery (this is a chain with several locations throughout Denmark).
Certainly after the rude and blunt dismissal by the guy from the sushi bar just down the road (‘no vegan possible!!’ – see my review on Happy Cow).
