restaurant review #435 – I was here for lunch a couple of months ago, in January, on a weekday. Mokkabar is a breakfast/lunch resto, with vegan options.
The menu is with QR code. I only saw the vegan burger and lasagne mentionned on the menu. But I actually wanted the vegan salad, as that was mentioned in previous reviews on Happy Cow.
So I asked whether there were any other vegan options besides the burger/lasagne? The waitress replied they also have quiche. (Made with eggs…). When I pointed out that that’s vegetarian and not vegan I got a rather annoyed reply ‘well then those two are the only vegan options‘.

Had the lasagne (21β¬) and red smoothie (6β¬).
The lasagne was a good portion (too much for me). With lentils and mushrooms. But the sauce was just really plane, tasteless (I think just simple white roux?). So not that appetizing.
Just one piece of vegan pie in counter, apple crumble. I declined.
Stepless entrance, accessible – all on ground floor. Several toilets at the back – didn’t see an accessible toilet.
The place was full for lunch, and it was really loud.
Large outdoor seating space. Seemed nice for Summer.
I really appreciate they do an effort to offer vegan options, so kudos for that, but I wouldn’t return for this lasagne, and there’s hardly any offer of vegan pastry.
And it wouldn’t hurt to smile ππ
