restaurant review #405 – On our way back from our lovely holiday in vegan hotels La Vimea and Agrivilla i Pini in Italy, we stopped for a day in Como.

For lunch, we went to vegan restaurant Il Lughino, in the center of Como.

We were here for lunch on a weekday. Although in the city center, the restaurant is located in a small side street, very quiet and relaxed (which can’t be said of the rest of Como: very busy and crowded!).

The menu comes on tablets, and you can choose several smaller dishes, and even add some later on if you wish.

We had shared an antipasto (trio, 8€), then had a seitan with white wine sauce (16€), spaghetti (12€) lasagne (11€) and then shared an icecream (7€).
With drinks (water, tonic, lemonade) and coperta this totalled 70€.
Not that expensive, but not that big portions neither (you can actually order multiple main dishes).

We found the food ok-ish, not really wow, rather simple dishes actually.

Service was very friendly.
And the restaurant is accessible with an accessible toilet even!

It was very quiet (only one other table). We saw some people come take a look, but then leave again when they realised it is all vegan. Such a pity!
All in all: We had a nice lunch, in a relaxed, enjoyable setting.
Why do I include a pic of the toilet? Read about it HERE
