restaurant review #517 – We had visited the Fashion and Textile museum (awesome exhibition Fashion renegades of 80’s London!! – see video below) and ended up in nearby Borough Market. Mallow is a sister restaurant of the well-known Mildreds restaurants (see Reviews here).

restaurant review #473 – We went here for dinner during our holiday in Germany/ Denmark. We actually wanted to have dinner at Deichkind, which reportedly has good vegan options, but unfortunately it was fully booked. Not that many other options in town, so ended up here. Nice modern building, very open, spacious, very hipster feel. The restaurant room (part of hotel) more has a feeling of an upgraded cantine though. When inquiring at the entrance, the waiter said they have many vegan options! 😊That sounded good. But there were only 2 starters (salad and vegetable dish) and two mains (falafel and artichoc). 😔 Inquired about the vegetable starter (wanted to know if I could get it as a main) but was not on offer (??). I wanted to order a mocktail. 🍸But couldn’t have one, because that had to be asked at the bar, on the other side of the building, replied the waiter. Uuhm??? 🤔(When we left, saw the people at another table being served 2 cockails, so ???). So we both ordered the …

Vegan options are clearly indicated, and certain other dishes can also be veganised (eg different sauce). Had the vegan chickn bowl & Mexican bowl (with vegan alioli sauce), 15,30€ each. Very decent portions, fresh, really good! Loved it! Modern renovated interior. Entrance is stepfree, but then there’s a step inside, and seatings are high barchairs/tables. Not accessible. Didn’t see an accssible toilet. Toilets very clean with individual towels. Love that! Large outdoor seating.Also vegan cake/pastry available, but we were stuffed! restaurant review #405 – On our way back from our lovely holiday in vegan hotels La Vimea and Agrivilla i Pini in Italy, we stopped for a day in Como. For lunch, we went to vegan restaurant Il Lughino, in the center of Como. We were here for lunch on a weekday. Although in the city center, the restaurant is located in a small side street, very quiet and relaxed (which can’t be said of the rest of Como: very busy and crowded!).
A relaxed holiday at La Maison du Vert, Ticheville, France
Restaurant review #140 – La Maison du Vert is a vegetarian bed and breakfast in Normandy, France. In the evening, La Maison du Vert also opens as a restaurant to outside guests, so it could also be considered a hotel (although there are only 3 rooms for overnight stay). We spent a couple of days here at the beginning of Summer, after a short stay in Paris (La Maison du Vert is about a 2 and a half hour drive from Paris). We had made our reservation many months before going to Normandy, to be sure to have a room at La Maison du Vert. Vegan options are really scarce in Normandy, so it was comforting to know that we did not have to worry about breakfast or vegan dinner during our holiday. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, Debbie and Daniel, a British couple who settled here 20 years ago and renovated what became la Maison du Vert and shaped the garden.
