#162 Nice lunch at Indian restaurant Shalimar, Bruges
restaurant review #162. Shalimar is an Indian restaurant at the edge of the city. It is located just outside the Gentpoort, in Assebroek. It was already 5 years ago that we had been to Shalimar. Since then, the restaurant has changed owners. After our lunch, we paid a visit to the new shop of Origin’O just across the street. A very nice shop, see our impressions here. There are several vegetarian dishes mentionned seperately on the menu (section ‘vegetarian’) of which most seem to be vegan. We inquired when ordering, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the ingredients of the dishes. The naan was said to be with yoghurt, so we just had plain rice with the main dishes. We were served a small appetizer with the drinks. As the waiter was putting it on the table we saw a white drizzled line on the snacks, and at the same time he realised it too and said it was with yoghurt and would bring something else.
