restaurant review #401 – I love visiting Utrecht. It’s a small city, cosy feel, and plenty of vegan (friendly) restaurants! This time we went for lunch to vegan restaurant Copper Branch, an international chain of vegan restaurants. They have 3 locations in the Netherlands: Utrecht, Rotterdam & Almere.

This is from a visit at the end of 2022, when we were in Utrecht for a show of Opeth.

Had the Cesar bowl, and the Greek bowl, with the homemade icetea and lemonade (each being 14,90€ the ‘healthy menu’). And fries with veganaise (3,90€) and onion rings with bearnaise (5,90€) on the side.

Food was nice, although the bowls were not really varied enough to make them exciting.
The drinks were a bit bland, not a lot of taste.

Order at the counter, and then they bring food to your table.
Despite the girl behind the counter seemingly being alone to take orders AND prepare food AND serve food, we didnt have to wait long for our order. Very friendly too.
Bought some cookies and brownies as take away.
It was nicely warm inside, and a cosy relaxed atmosphere, not loud. Would like to see they close the entrance door in Winter though (energy efficiency?).
Restaurant room is accessible. Didn’t see an accessible toilet (2 toilets at the back). Toilet clean.

All in all: Cosy relaxed atmosphere, OK food. We had a nice, relaxed lunch.
