restaurant review #208 – The Avocado show is a new place in the city center of Brussels, just next to the Stock Exchange (La Bourse / De Beurs). It is part of a chain, with several restaurants in the Netherlands.
The Avocado show has several vegan options standardly available, labelled as such on the menu cards.

We had the mango curry tango (10,90) and the vegan roast toast (11,90) Both were very good and filling. Reasonable prices (considering prices in Brussels).

We also had the edame beans as an appetizer. They are not noted as vegan on the menu, we asked, and the waitress checked with the kicthen and said that they are. (maybe the salt on the side is not vegan, had a BBQ taste).

Modern and hipster decor, very instagram worthy😉

Ground floor is step free access. Upstairs area not accessible. Toilets are upstairs (did not visit, so no photo this time 😉

The waitress serving us did not speak French nor Flemish, only English. We got a menu in French.
A bit more attention to language wouldn’t hurt.

We had a nice snack. A bit ambivalent feelings about the ecological impact of all these avocados though …
This is not a restaurant for wining and dining, but more for an in between snack or light lunch. Nonethelss, we had a nice dinner, before heading of the a show at the Ancienne Belgique (Blof!).
